Arjun Rampal's look in Chakravyuh

Arjun Rampal who is currently shooting for Prakash Jha's, Chakravyuh, will be seen essaying the role of a cop for the first time. However, what's interesting is his look in the uniform, following Salman in Dabanggand Ajay Devgn in Singham. Rampal is seen sporting a moustache as well, while to complete the look of a cop, the actor has cropped his hair short.

In the film, Arjun plays the role of Adil Khan, a fourth generation cop in his family, who is based in Bhopal and fights the naxalites. In Chakravyuh, Arjun plays the lead role alongside Abhay Deol, Manoj Bajpayee and Esha Gupta.

"Disco Valley will introduce new genre to Bollywood" - Shazahn

Shazahn Padamsee

Don't judge Shazahn Padamsee by her looks alone. For the first time ever, the actress speaks her beautiful mind out. Unlike the quotes from actresses that generally would sound ...a bit cliché, this interview's not. It may come across as a surprise to few, or even many, that the actress talks not only about her new movie Disco Valley but the reason why sequels work, why such a big issue on wearing a bikini, the return of the era of storytelling and more. In times when Bollywood is slowly but surely taking a U-Turn back to what it used to do best - tell good stories, it's refreshing to know that actors too are willing to be a part of a great mix of stories. Shazahn Padamsee takes you to the movies and beyond in this exclusive tete-a-tete.

"Disco Valley will introduce a new genre to Bollywood"
To bag an out and out experimental movie and that too with a lead role as an actress is something I never saw coming. But Sid Jain from iRock thought that I would fit the role perfectly. Disco Valley is a mad and crazy movie about the end of the world and I am in the middle of its absolutely wild party. I was amazed with the story of Disco Valley. It's a new genre being introduced to Bollywood.

"With movies like Delhi Belly, Kahaani and Vicky Donor, the era of storytelling is coming back"
It's so good to know that commerciality has been redefined in our film industry. It was never about small budget movies and big budget movies. It was always the story, the script that triumphed. The yesteryear greats like Sai Paranjpe and Hrishikesh Mukherjee to name a few always made diverse films but some of them went on to become cult comedies and commercial successes. With movies like Delhi Belly, Kahaaniand Vicky Donor, the era of storytelling is coming back.

"I don't mind being a part of an ensemble movie"
My selection of movies will purely depend on which story excites me. I don't mind an ensemble movie. I don't mind a period flick; I don't mind a bizarre horror film too. As long as the story and the character make sense, I will do it without any hesitation.

"I loved The Social Network and The Descendants in the recent past"
In the recent past, I've loved The Social Network and The Descendants. I am currently hooked on to Entourage, a crazy sitcom and eagerly want to see The Avengers. I am a big fan of Robert Downey Jr and his Iron Man. I love his humour.

Shazahn Padamsee"If someone has to come out looking sexy from the water, she can't be wearing jeans and a top"
I don't understand why sporting a bikini is such a big issue in our movies. I mean, if someone has to come out looking sexy from the water, she can't be wearing jeans and a top. It will look dumb. As long as the aesthetics are in place, no actress should have any problem sporting a bikini. I too agreed for it when I knew what Sajid did in Housefull. It's too early for me to comment on my look in Disco Valley and whether I will be wearing a bikini or not.

"The fun thing about doing sequels is that they already have a brand value attached and a massive fan following"
The fun thing about sequels is that they already have a brand value attached and a massive fan following. I love sequels. That's why I did Housefull 2 too. Also, I am looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises, Iron Man 3, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sequel and Dabangg 2, Ragini MMS 2. Sequels not only make business sense but also a challenge for the director and its writers. It has to be ten times better because expectations are sky high.

Big B on Bofors : Happy that truth has emerged after 25 years

India's megastar Amitabh Bachchan is clean from the Bofors dirt.

Happy and relieved the iconic megastar issued a statement to the media that he is feeling good but the 25 years has been painful

Speaking to reporters here, Bachchan welcomed the revelations made by the Swedish investigators in the Bofors case. He said he had "lived with humiliation and loss of reputation" all these years.

Here is what he said..

"My family and I are happy to note the statement made by Former Swedish Police Head investigating the Bofors - India Gun deal. Mr Lindstorm has stated that we were innocent and that there was never ever any evidence to indicate our involvement. The interview indicates that it took Mr Lindstorm 25 years to come out with the truth. For us as a family that has borne the humiliation and insults for the past 25 years this comes as an vindication of our stand. What has been most disturbing for me has been the pain of insinuation that my ageing parents had to bear during their lifetime. What has also been most alarming has been the statement given by the Police Head that my name was "planted" deliberately when he had indeed, already through his investigation, not found us guilty. When the accusations were made my family and I moved the London courts and proved our innocence. We won our case and were delighted that the truth had eventually been justified. But, for the former Police Head to have not stated then what he always knew, is most surprising. The abuse, humiliation and the castigation that our family bore for 25 years has now been vindicated, finally"

The Bofors case dates back to 1986, when Swiss arms manufacturer Bofors landed a Rs.1,500 crore contract to supply 155 mm howitzers to India. A year later, Swiss media began reporting that the company had paid massive kickbacks to Indian politicians, including then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, and defence officials.

Big B underwent humiliations coming from his detractors.. during the time of the release of Shahenshah.. tight security arrangements were made in  Maratha Mandir in Mumbai with sniffer dogs even the iconic megastar posters where painted black during the scandals..

BiG B is Sajid Khan's super hero

B-town 'housefull' entertainer Sajid Khan revealed his super hero. The helmer's fascination to the 70's 80's is unquestionable and he is a big fan of the iconic megastar Mr. Bachchan.. recently during the premiere of 'The Avengers' in Mumbai, he was asked who is his super hero, pat came the reply .. he said Supremo, a 1980s comic book character based on megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Aamir keeps his promise

Trust b-town perfectionist Aamir Khan for his promises.. he vows to provide sense and sensibilities in his cinema and doesn,t forget those which he makes during the promotions..

Well that's the marketing brilliance of Aamir who recently not only fulfilled the promise he made to Ram Lakhan aka Nathuni, the auto-driver who drove him around the lanes of the temple city back in December 2009 when he was promoting '3 Idiots'.. Aamir promised him that he will attend his son Rajeev's wedding in Varanasi..

On his way Aamir promoted his highly awaited reality show 'Satyamev Jayate' by dropping at Patna where he relished the delight of bihar's mouth watering delicacy 'Litti Chokha' bite by bite.

Aamir reached Patna post-noon, interacted with the local people and left by late afternoon by road to attend the wedding in Varanasi.

Said a member of Aamir's team: "Aamir had never visited Patna. He took a flight from Mumbai to Patna, mingled with the locals for two hours and then left by car to reach his friend's son's wedding the same evening."

Aamir reportedly stopped at a roadside dhaba to have the Bihari delicacy litti-chokha. The ecstatic food vendor served Aamir a plate filled with five large littis.

Aamir had two littis. He then requested the litti-wallah to let him take the remaining three littis to eat in the car. He then sped away on the highway from Patna to Varanasi with the promise of returning to the Bihar capital in the near future.

Aamir had met Ram Lakhan three years ago and continued with his bonding with the auto-driver and even sent Nathuni air tickets to fly down to Mumbai for the premier of "3 Idiots", which later went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters at the box office.

Nathuni recently went to Mumbai to invite his "friend" Aamir for the wedding of his son Rajeev - an engineer with an anti-virus company in Jaipur. Aamir promised to come down for the D-day.

Hrithik Roshan: Brand Ambassador for Maharashtra?

Two years ago Amitabh Bachchan donned a completely new avatar as Gujarat fist-ever brand ambassador. A few weeks ago West Bengal in a bid to give state's image some zing, roped in Shah Rukh Khan as its face. And now the Maharashtra government has apparently approached Hrithik Roshan to help sell the state's sight's & sounds to tourists.

An agency hired by the Goverment  approached Hrithik a few days a ago to become the state's brand ambassador. They had sent a mail to Hrithik's team it was immediately forwarded to him but he hasn't been able to take the final call considering his super busy schedule of Krrish 3, says a member of Hrithik team.

Apparently the Goverment agency wants Hrithik to take a few days off his schedule to work on an extensive campaign for the state. They have plans to shoot a docu-flim with him in places as kolhapur,Mahabaleshwar,Raigad and Mumbai Even a photo shoot has been planned says the insider adding that Hrithik is busy with krrish 3 till October its believed that Hrithik too is keen on working out his schedule to fit in the camp since he thinks it is great honour.

But everything depends on the schedule it remains to be seen how they work out the dates considering Hrithik will be busy for another four-five months so the big question is will the agency wait till then?'' adds the insider.

Despite repeated attempts Hrithik remained unavailable for a comment.

But Jagdish Mali of Jagdish Mali productions the agency that approached Hrithik for MTDC has contracted me for the campaigns.. they feel Maharashtra's tourism need to be promoted i have approached Hrithik but there's no confirmation or denial from him yet they MTDC wants to announce it on may 1 so we will see how things work out,"  he says.
